The Rotary Timetable Builder is a program that is designed to produce
non-conflicting class, teacher and, optionally, room timetables for schools
where the students tend to stay together from course to course and the school
has a multi-day timetable. This is generally the case in senior elementary,
middle, and junior high schools. The students might break from their Home Room
groupings at one or possibly more times during the day to take optional courses
and the program accommodates this.
The program supports up to 14 unique days in the timetable and there can be up
to 16 periods per day. For each course, you are able to indicate the number of
periods required when the students meet for a teaching session (usually 1), the
maximum number of sessions per day, the number of sessions in the cycle, the
teacher, the room, and when that course can be taught in the matrix of periods
and days in the cycle. With this information, the program places the courses
for each class in their timetable much like you would if using slips of paper
and a board only much faster. You can specify the maximum number of "shifts"
that the program will undertake in an attempt to place a course. This is much
like you pulling a slip off your board to place another course and then needing
to place that slip that you'd removed and having this repeated x number of
times until all slips are placed.
We provide routines for checking the data that you enter to insure that it is
consistent with the parameters that you have entered as well as routines for
printing diagnostic reports and finally class, teacher and room timetables.
The program can be downloaded over from our website. We allow you a 30-day,
money-back trial period. If the program does not work for you, simply return it
to us in the 30-day period and we will refund your money.
